Can I be Gyaru with Afro hairtype and No wig use???

Hey girls

So lets have a chat about (头发) –(see how I sneaked some of my mandarin practice in there.)

No but seriously lets talk about hair!!!!!

well actually to be specific
Black hair
(Btw no pictures in this post are mine except the one near the end that is my profile picture. All of these images I retrieved from Pinterest.)

Sooo lately, I have been like crazy wanting to dye and straighten my hair. Pluss buy a bunch of wigs.

Ultimately I want to look more Gyaru and a huge staple for the look I have notice is big flashy hair or sleek hairstyles with bangs. All of them dyed of course.

So as I began my process of drinking my hot chocolate bundled in my blanket, pretending I could afford … stuff.

I found myself adding numerous wigs to my amazon cart and shein cart. Just the most Gyaru-est wigs I could think of! All brown and ash brown colored and curly.

And then instantly my heart raced. Thinking about how I don’t have to do my hair and can wear wigs all day and the freedom I'd feel being able to go out without such a frizzy fuzzball on my head.

Then I stopped.

.

.

Many people don’t know but I have struggled GREATLY with a type of hair dysphoria. I hated my 4b/4c hair texture to the point as a teen breaking down crying and sobbing for my mom to buy me a flat iron so my hair would stop looking so ugly.

I would often go to bed and dream of my natural hair becoming straight and brown or curly and long. Not my kinky afro.

And now as a gyaru.. tbh I kept thinking. It would be impossible to be a gyaru with my coily afro hair type. As well as there is no harm in getting a wig and extensions, afterall many real Japanese Gyarus wear hairpieces wigs and extensions too.

How could I look complete as a Gal with natural black hair?

But also… that’s not the true case I was making.

It wasn’t about whether other gals wore wigs and extensions or not. But rather should I and could I do the samE?

As a woman who has been brought to tears over and over again from my natural hair. Cursing my hair as I burnt it with heat bleached it and attempted but failed to have it be professionally straightened.

Could I really go back to wearing wigs even for an aesthetic or fashion?

It took many years for me to learn to love my natural hair, it has always been resilient and never thinned out on me no matter how much I abused it or Buried it under wigs or bleached it. It has always managed to bounce back and regain tremendous health. Currently now my natural hair has gotten quite thick and long. It is healthier then it has been since I was a PRETEEN.

I had finally, finally learned to love and appreciate my hair even when other people have said rude comments about it in public. Something that beforehand would have had me running home in tears, flatiron in hand to burn it to a crisp and even contemplate su1c1d3..  yesh I am that emotional about my hair..

Nowadays INSTEAD OF SELF HATING MYSELF i think about how they don’t understand the beauty, strength and versatility of the African coils that grow from my crown. It is beautiful and I am beautiful with the hair that naturally grows from my head.

Soooo Ive decided I will choose at least for now to not pursue incorporating wigs into my gyaru looks. And only use my natural hair and sometimes use extensions, but I want to keep playing with my kinks coils and all}                                       -Hence my profile picture.

Ways I will try to maintain my look to still follow a gyaru look is by attempting to maintain having dyed hair. Though to maintain my hairs health I only want to dye it between dark brown to maybe light a bit to a dark burnt ginger/red color. But not blonde or unusual colors that will require bleach.

And with extensions I do hope to try different colors. That will bring out a gyaru vibe such as blondes, blues, pinks etc. Plus accessories.

So anyways I made a small colage of hairstyle inspo for myself.

Gyaru hairstyles for black and coiled hair gals.

Tbh its actually great so many black and biracial women love this fashion and kawaii fashion in general because there is so much inspiration from them.

The right side is gyaru images and the left side is the black hairstyles I would like to copy 🌴

I was gonna make more then one collage so I may make a part two to this post. In the meantimes..

I want a second job to buy gyaru shit +Learning Chinese

 HIIIIIII!

Finally I have made a post on my blog!

Anyways recently my cheetah print Boom has been worse then ever. To be honest maybe I secretly became gyaru as an exscuse to get cheetah prints and lepoard prints more often.

Lately money has been to tight so I havent been able to buy anything at all. But I do like to imaginary shop on amazon or shein and put items on my lists or boards. To be honest I have decided it would be best to get a second job so I can afford more gyaru style outfits and looks. I recently found some outfits on shein I am desperate to get ASAP!

And obviously I made a collage of them
Isnt it cute right????
yES I AM very aware Gyaru looks arent only cheetah print. My board on shein also has non cheetah print looks too. But these are the looks I want really badly
I want the ribbed black top to match with a long cheetah print skirt I feel it will look so Onee Gal with a nice black purse and jewelry.
I was going to add the cheetah print maxi skirt onto the board but for some reason the website wont let me download the image and I am tooo lazy to screenshot and crop it
Anyways the most nessacary GET I NEED! IS the flipping gorgeous amazing off the shoulder top. Its so GAL! Theres actually a youtube video and instagram post by Toxic Tsukino talking about how Shein is copying Gal brands. But like lowkey how awesome it is to get these looks without selling my soul trying to buy them from shippers in Japan lol! So I really really want that top out of everything on my board before they stop listing them.

another look I hella want is the double pleated denim skirt because
A.)SO NOSTALGIC AND Y2K DJKBNERAFHANHTE
And
B.)I totally have seen saw gyaru youtube videos with old gal use to often wear denim skirts. And I love the older Gal looks!

🌺LEARNING CHINESE 🌺

I want to be better with my chinese language learning. So I am venturing onto a new journey of
learning 1500

YESSSS this many I know. Id like to focus on really getting to know all these characters very well for a month and then go back to aggressively learning vocabulary and phrases.
Ive never made an explanation on my blog before about this but I thoroughly enjoy taking time to learn chinese and deeply dream of becoming fluent. And maybe hopefully using it to speak to people and travel to China one day.
I know right I am such a weird Gyaru. I am obsessed with a Japanese fashion but want to learn a Chinese language and also I like to watch and listen to Korean entertainment.
Truly a very Global Gal if you ask me honestly 🌺

But yea thats all.

The process of making a blog is exhausting

I am already super exhausted from working on my blog. Its original incarnation was blue with a black and white leporard print. Like suer gyaru and colorful......But it hurt my eyes like crazy OMG. Im gonna just make my blog super brown with Rilakkumas everywhere.

I really love Rilakkuma so I wouldnt mind this blog being both about gyaru and rilakkuma and friends 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖🐻

First Post

This is my first blog post! Omg! Gosh I am not sure what to say.

I guess I can say whatever I want because this blog is my empty room. My realm of self expression.
As I am typing this.. I wonder to myself. Why start now? Why make a Gyaru blog when gyaru is basically dead. most people don't even blog anymore. I kinda came to the Party 10 years too late.

I guess I just do things whenever I am ready and not when it is most popular.

I barely remember when I discovered gyaru I guess i mightve been 14 and even then, it was definitely dead besides a few gyarusas I would stalk online. One of the most influential people who peeked my interest in gyaru was Cheesies, (Cheeserland blogs) and Tsubasa Masuwaka's existence.

I remember thinking back then how badly I wanted to be a gyaru, I wanted to bleach my hair get circle lenses etc etc. But by the time I entered adulthood it seemed unrealistic, I did of course dress pretty colorful and dress kindof gyaru inspired. But I feel I did not become a true gyaru.
Tbh I was scared.

The look that gyarus have can be so overwhelming in real life. And especially on me! The strong makeup, eyelashes, light colored, hair, suddenly made me nervous. What if people dont understand what I am doing and just think I am crazy.
And then at the time the growing popularity of Ulzzang looks and Larme Fashion. I felt my interest in the brightly colored spectacle of gyaru dim, and my interest in looking dolly and soft and natural looking (the exceptable looks.) THat grew.

But interestingly enough I feel I was never quite as ulzzang or larme as I had ever been compared to gyaru.

I often wonder now what is it about Gyaru that had such a hold onto me that I found myself currently returning more invested then ever in the style.

well tbh my life fell apart.

I have few friends. all My relationships failed. And I flunked out of college. Interestingly enough I followed the rules of life. I existed poshly and styled myself accordingly to what makes my parents comfortable and society comfortable.
I now understand in my own way why the Gyarus bleached there hair or dyed it neon colors, and wore crazy nails and fashion. To defy the rules of social pressure. Defy the expectations to exist to make others comfortable. And to live for your own passions, hobbies and joys.
iF i had lived to make myself truly happy. I wonder how my life wouldve been,

Since life goes by so quickly I want to start now!
And I start by creating this blog. Please enjoy my growth into becoming a true gyaru.
Also sorry for my horrible grammar.
